10 Years of Cultural Impact: The 10th Annual Colorado Dashiki Festival — August 29

This year, the 10th Annual Colorado Dashiki Festival is bringing together an extraordinary lineup of vendors from across the African diaspora community: food that will make you come back for more, fashion that celebrates culture and identity, artisan goods, and so much more. We are introducing you to some of them over the coming weeks, but trust us when we say the vendor market this year is unlike anything the festival has seen before. 	Food: Suya Magnet LLC If you have ever had suya, the bold, smoky, perfectly spiced grilled meat that is one of West Africa's most beloved street foods, you already know why this vendor is going to draw a crowd. And if you have never had it, August 29 is about to change that. Suya Magnet LLC is bringing authentic suya straight to the Dashiki Festival, and the name says it all. Come hungry. Find their booth. 	Fashion & Accessories: Moti's House Style is a language, and Moti's House speaks it fluently. This brand is bringing elegant fashion and beautiful accessories to the Dashiki Festival: pieces that celebrate culture, class, and the confidence of every woman who wears them. Whether you are looking for your next statement look or something that simply makes you feel like yourself, stop by their booth and take your time. You will find something that was made for you.
	Food: Jollof Jollof Cuisine Chef David Diop has been serving Senegalese cuisine in Colorado since 2015, and if you have been paying attention to the Denver food scene, you already know the name. What started as a pop-up at local farmers' markets has grown into one of the most recognized West African food concepts in the state, featured on the Food Network and loved by everyone who has had the pleasure of eating it. Colorado's first and only gourmet West African food truck is coming to the Dashiki Festival. Expect perfectly spiced jollof rice, lamb and chicken brochette, crispy plantains, shawarma, and dishes that taste like they were made with a lot of care, because they were.
